“Way before the onslaught of electronically formatted music people actually went out and bought albums, whether on vinyl, tapes or cd’s ( would you believe that! ). Like I had talked about earlier, putting together an album is an art itself, very much like making a mixtape. Imagine if your favourite album had a different song order, would you still be into it? Have you actually ever looked at an album as an entirety rather than a collection of some good and not so good songs? I am not talking about concept albums, like Dark Side of the Moon for example, where the album itself is really a musical journey that only makes sense after a pound of weed and listening to it from start to finish. Imagine, Nirvana’s “Nevermind” not starting with “Smells Like Teen Spirit” but with “Come as You Are”, would it have become the quintessential album of 1992? Unlikely.”
