Deep Crates 2 documents the history behind diggin’ for samples & creating hip hop beats. The second DVD installment takes you back to the origins of sampling records with the cultures founding pioneers. Worldwide diggin’ spots from the USA, Canada & Japan are exposed and record knowledge is dropped from some of hip hop’s most elite DJ’s and Producers.
This past weekend at Brooklyn’s Luna Lounge, Lady Sovereign the self-penned “biggest midget in the game” was to take the stage at 2AM for an announced gig. Soon 2:30AM rolls around, then its 3AM and people are getting drunker and more pissed. Miss Sovereign finally shows around 3:30AM. And instead of singing, tells everyone she will be homeless in 10 months, disses America, shows her self-mutilation scars, and walks off stage before finishing her required 3-song set.
