it’s funny how reasoning under the guise of a “disclaimer” will give him a
free card to go to collect $200. even after all that bullshit text about how
it’s under the USA law… the verdict in the end is that without the original
image, Shepard Fairy would not have produced this work. so yeah fuck that.
If SF work and an excellently written disclaimer can get away with shit,
then hell I will get Robert Frost’s poem and change the font then call it my
own. Nice nice nice!!!!!
About time. I say expose OBEY to the fullest. Most of if not all his
“work” is stolen or copied, then used as “stylistic inspiration “, taking just
about anything he see’s and then recycling it. The sad part is that many of
the kids you see today wearing and buying this shit don’t know where the fuck
the original art came from.
Exactly, and now he is a international DJ? We should be checking those
beats, I bet he looks to diddy for inspiration. Hahahaha..

thisObey Polluted Hawaii
I really don’t care for his stuff. I think he messed up Hawaii by putting
all that Obey stuff everywhere, i do understand the need to beautify a grimy
city block with the stuff, but it’s hawaii! I feel his stuff is leaning away
from grafitti art and turning into plain out ADVERTISEMENT! He needs to go
paint something and get away from the computer programs.
I am cannot believe the garbage this fairey guy fools people with.

i don’t know, i think its a pretty awesome subversion; taking a tourism poster to advertise war.
